Shoot Nations is a joint partnership between Plan UK and Shoot Experience. The project is a visual representation and celebration of life choices that affect young people around the world. Shoot Nations is being produced to coincide with the day when young peoples’ voices are celebrated all around the world.


	PLAN Founded 70 years ago, Plan is one of the largest child-centred community development organisations in the world. Plan works in 62 countries on projects and initiatives that address the causes of poverty and its impacts on children's lives. Plan works with children, their families and communities to build a world where they are safe, healthy and capable of realising their full potential. www.plan-uk.org
	Shoot Experience Shoot Experience produce interactive photography treasure hunt events connecting cities, people and ideas, encouraging thousands of people to take to the streets and shoot photos. Using photography and audience participation, Shoot Experience projects fuse art, culture, education and photography. Shoot experience also produce corporate team building events, photography workshops, represent commercial photographers, and sell royalty free photos. www.shootexperience.com

	STAYING ALIVE FOUNDATION As a global grant-making organization, the Foundation's mission is to encourage, energize, and empower young people who are involved in HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention campaigns. The Foundation does this by presenting the Staying Alive Awards to young individuals and youth groups who are focused on stopping the spread of HIV and who have demonstrated the potential to become future leaders. The award comes with a financial grant to assist them in continuing and expanding their work, and provides public recognition to inspire others to get involved. Staying Alive is a Shoot Nations 2009 partner. www.staying-alive.org

	UNITED NATIONS The United Nations (UN) is an international organisation whose stated aims are to facilitate co-operation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues. It was founded in 1945 and has grown to include 192 member states, encompassing almost every recognized independent state in the world. www.un.org
	NATIONAL MUSEUMS LIVERPOOL National Museums Liverpool is England’s only national museums group based entirely outside London. NML’s venues are home to fabulously varied collections covering everything from social history to space travel, entomology to ethnology, dinosaurs to docks, arts to archaeology. NML and Plan have been working together creating interactive development education projects since 2006. The Shoot Nations 2008 exhibition is currently being exhibited at the NML International Slavery Museum on the Albert Dock in Liverpool www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk
	DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT The Department for International Development (DFID) is the part of the UK Government that manages Britain's aid to poor countries and works to get rid of extreme poverty. www.dfid.gov.uk
