Rules
- Your entries must be uploaded to our website by no later than 18:00 (GMT) on Wednesday 28 July 2010. Any entries submitted after this time will not be considered.
- Entry is FREE, you can enter up to three photos or drawings, one for each brief.
- Please caption your entries to explain what they are about.
- The images you submit must be taken by you - you must own the copyright.
- Your photos must be of a reasonably large file size and high quality - minimum file size 1 megabyte and maximum file size 7 megabytes. Your photos must be in Jpeg format.
- Participants are asked to accept that all images submitted as part of the competition may be used for up to five years by Shoot Experience and Plan International for publicity and marketing purposes to promote Shoot Nations on their websites and printed materials including brochures, calendars and exhibitions. The copyright remains yours.
- You can submit entries that were created before the competition start date.
- You may NOT manipulate your photos using Photoshop or similar editing program, although minor colour correction and cropping is permitted.
- We will not tolerate or accept derogatory or obscene photographs, or photographs containing nudity. Any photograph deemed to be of such a nature will be removed from the website and the photographer will be disqualified from this and future competitions. When captioning your photos please refrain from using offensive words.
- Please respect the property and privacy of others - ask permission before taking photographs of people. Please be safe at all times.
- All communication with you will be via the email address you provided when signing up.
- Participants must have written permission before submitting identifiable photos of anyone who is under the age of 16.
- The judge's decision is final.
- The UK winner must be available to travel to New York for 12 August and hold a valid UK passport or US visa. UK passport holders do not require a visa. Check the US embassy website for more information.
